Members of the International Academy of Ceramics, IAC.
Trained at the Pau Gargallo school and the Massana School, respectively, in the specialty of ceramics.
They have created the Ixió brand, pieces with a functional concept but great formal subtlety. They combine porcelain and clay chamotte earth, two pastas with very different behaviors that give it character and expressiveness. It is a work of great technical complexity, but what interests them are the results of this combination. They work with a high temperature gas oven.
Most of these pieces are sold on the circuits of fairs and exhibitions, their pieces can also be found in shops and galleries all over Europe.
On the other hand, they each have a personal work, which has been exhibited in various galleries in Europe and Asia, and they have work in museums in China, France, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
Since 1998 he has combined it with the work of teachers at the Ceramics Workshop School of the Museu del Càntir d’Argentona.

We chosen the courageous path of adding porcelain on stoneware, playing between the results of shrink and tension. The crackled aspect of the turquoise glaze adds a charming quality to this series of cups, a ceramic strength within the vitrification process, where the contrast between the slightly turquoise transparency and the roughness of the clay fascinates and suprises. These formal variations look like a sculptural attempt.
